Essential teaching requirements for AIS include

  • Native English speaker
  • At least Two to five years current teaching experience with children
  • Experience working with an international education
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting and also teaching experience to a group of kids having different levels of English
  • Familiarity with best practice methodologies as they apply to teaching a diverse student body, as well as evidence of recent professional growth activities

Available Positions at Tokyo Head Office

We are seeking a candidate for the full time position of "Head Teacher/General Curriculum Coordinator" at Tokyo Head Office. The position entails the following responsibilities:
  • 1) Curriculum Coordinator of four branches (Osaka, Nagoya, Sendai and Okayama).
  • 2) Visiting branches and doing teacher appraisals together with a representative from head office.
  • 3) Attending the Professional Development Days 3 times a year and coordinating these events. 
  • 4) Attending and analyzing the Year End Performances of our branches.
  • 5)Checking our English homepage and making any necessary changes to its content.
  • 6) Involvement in the final interview process for all new staff members at any of our 4 branches.
  • 7) Present new projects and ideas that will increase the quality of our schools..
  • 8) Fulfill duties assigned to them by his/her manager.

Preferred qualifications and desirable qualities

  • -Degree in Early Childhood or Education
  • -Can plan, develop and implement curriculum for pre-school students.
  • -Two or more years teaching experience at kindergartens or elementary schools in your home country is highly preferred
  • -At least 2 years teaching experience with children within Japan
  • -Flexible, creative and open-minded personality.
  • -Must be able to work well within a team and independently
  • -Should be well-organized and have a professional manner.
  • -Candidates must currently reside in Japan and have a proper visa.
